May's Teen Book Chat

Our fifth chat of the year will take place Monday, May 5 on Twitter at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. The first hour of the chat, we'll discuss the four questions, one every fifteen minutes. For the last half an hour, we'll just have an open chat relating to the topic or other things YA books. Don't forget to use the hashtag #TBkChat to keep in the chat. May's topic is : YA Genres.

The questions are: 

Q1 What are some of your favorite genres in YA and why?

Q2 What are some YA genres you are sick of or never liked in the first place?

Q3 What are some genres you'd like to see done more or differently in YA?

Q4 Do you consider YA a genre of itself, if so, what are the characteristics of that genre? If not, explain.
