September's Teen Book Chat

Our next chat will take place Monday, September 8 on Twitter at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. The first hour of the chat, we'll discuss the four questions, one every fifteen minutes. For the last half an hour, we'll just have an open chat relating to the topic or other things YA books. Don't forget to use the hashtag #TBkChat to keep in the chat. September's topic is: Diversity in YA

The questions are:
Q1 We've all seen the Twitter Tred, but does YA really need more diversity?
Q2 What types of people, religions, or cultures are under represented in YA?
Q3 What are some diverse YA books that you appreciate?
Q4 How can we as young readers influence writers and publishers to support and produce more diverse books?

Please comment, tweet about, share, blog about, ect this chat. If you have a blog or website, grab the button HTML in the sidebar. If you know a few YA lovers who'd be interested, send them this link. The more people involved, the better!

Comments are awesome, rudeness is not. The point is to start a conversation not a yelling match. We're not trying to change people's mind, we're trying to get them thinking. 'Nuff said.
